What is Emulsion Oil in Water?
EW is a fluid, heterogeneous formulation consisting of a solution of pesticide in an organic liquid dispersed as fine globules in a continuous water phase. It is also known as oil in water.

In Tensiofix Formulations
We offer alkylphenol free high performance emulsifiers, which we have developed for obtaining oil in water emulsion with low viscosity and long-term stability. We prefer using a thickening agent free system for this formulation.

What is a Suspension Concentrate for Seed Treatment?
A Suspension Concentrate for Seed Treatment is a liquid agrochemical formulation containing finely ground solid particles of active ingredient(s) suspended in a liquid phase, usually water and containing also a dye and a plasticizer/film forming agent.

This formulation is applied onto the seeds – sometimes there is a slight dilution with water to reduce viscosity – followed by a drying step.

What is Microemulsion?
ME is a clear to opalescent, oil in water containing liquid, that is applied directly or after dilution in water, forming a diluted micro-emulsion or a conventional emulsion.

In Tensiofix
A mix of anionic and non-ionic emulsifiers are necessary for micro-emulsion. Typical tailor-made blends for emulsification can be used alone or in combination with a non-ionic emulsifier. Our Tensiofix ME fomulations are stable over a wide range of temperatures.

What is Oil Dispersion?
OD is a stable suspension of active ingredient(s) in a water-immiscible fluid, which may contain other dissolved active ingredients(s), intended for dilution with water before use. It is also know as oil-based suspension concentrate and oil flowable.

The OD formulation has recently gained increasing interest. Thanks to our rigorous evaluation process, we have developed a few Tensiofix surfactant formulations, providing a stable suspension of active ingredient(s) in oil.

What is a suspension concentrate?
A SC is a liquid agrochemical formulation containing finely ground solid particles of active ingredient(s) suspended in water. Solid particles are finely ground for a good physical stability and agronomical efficacy. Upon dilution a SC forms a homogeneous and stable dispersion. It is also called flowable concentrate.

What is a Suspoemulsion?
A SE is a liquid agrochemical formulation combining an emulsion and a suspension of solid particles in water. Thanks to SE formulation, it is possible to combine two active ingredients with different physico chemical properties:

• One active ingredient is solid, insoluble into water as well as in oil phase
• One is liquid or highly soluble in a solvent and insoluble in water

What is Soluble Concentrate?
Soluble Concentrate is a clear to opalescent liquid, which can be applied as a solution of the active ingredient after dilution in water. The liquid may contain water-insoluble formulates. It is also known as soluble liquid.

We propose wetter-spreader-sticker agent(s) as a built-in adjuvant(s) or used as a tank-mix additive. Tensiofix’s flexibility allows us to develop a variety of formulationsto meet the needs of the agrochemical market.

What are Water Soluble Granules?
SG is a formulation consisting of granules to be applied as a true solution of the active ingredient after dissolution in water, but which may contain insoluble inert ingredients.

We are proud to offer this specific range of wetting-dispersing and binding agents, which is available for both WG and SG formulations. We are experts in granules development for extrusion and fluid spray drying application techniques, as well as fluid bed agglomeration.

What are Water Dispersible Granules?
WG is a formulation consisting of granules, which can be applied after disintegration and dispersion in water.

What is Wettable Powder?
WP is a powder formulation to be applied as a suspension after dispersion in water.

We have a lot of experience providing and developing Wettable Powder formulations. We offer a limited number of surfactants, allowing us to formulate a high number of pesticide active ingredients, as powders that can be suspended in water.
